EU project IST H-CAD and eTen Hellodoc have proposed the development of innovative concept of telerehabilitation as it is applied to neuro-rehabilitation practice. Trials involved patients with Multiple Sclerosis, Traumatic Brain Injury and Stroke: clinical trials confirmed the validity of the approach as referred to efficacy and as related to user acceptance. The impact of a telerehabilitation service has to be considered not only on the basis of its economic advantages, but also including patient satisfaction, continuity of care at home, exercise recordings, new competences of therapists and medical doctors.
